Senior Software Engineer (Software Applications for 3D – Vision System)
in Shanghai, China
Your tasks:
You will work in an interdisciplinary project team with other engineers and physicists on the development of innovative 3D camera modules for integration into smartphones. After an extensive training phase at our headquarter in Siegen, Germany, you will independently develop algorithms and filters to improve 3D data and characterize innovative system configurations as well as novel measurement principles. You will translate customer requirements into system requirements and thus help to define and implement the necessary algorithm roadmap. You verify the results using predefined metrics and with tests on real 3D camera systems. Thanks to your good communication skills, you will always keep in touch with your colleagues and with customers, thus ensuring successful system development. Your responsibilities also include the support of on-site activities for customers.
Your profile:
- Mathematician, computer science engineer, physicist or similar
- At least 5 years of professional experience or a college degree
- Profound programming knowledge (Python, C/C++, OpenCV) and experience in algorithm development
- Experience in camera characterization and/or image processing
- Experience in the fields of time-of-flight, 3D imaging or computational imaging is an advantage
- Confidence when dealing with customers
- Fluent in spoken and written English
- German language skills are an advantage
- Customer orientation and willingness to travel
